Streams of Light.
We all want to see light, not fixtures, preferably natural light wherever possible. Enter PRU’s Stream Series of luminaires designed to evoke a feeling of sunlight funneled through the architecture. No lenses, no seams, just soft, smooth lines of light that create a cove-like effect while offering pleasantly-indirect ambient illumination.
BSA LifeStructures completed architecture, interiors and engineering services utilizing Stream throughout the new Paul H. O’Neill Graduate Center, which houses all of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) graduate programs, opening unprecedented possibilities for study, research and collaboration.
“I am incredibly grateful for BSA LifeStructures and the work they have done to transform our graduate building. From the natural lighting of the atrium, to the integration of technology and strategic classroom layouts, we (students) feel as though our hard work has truly been recognized and complemented. We are motivated to persist in working hard with the support of such a beautiful learning and study environment.” – Samantha Ganser, Masters of Public Affairs Student
This addition has created an identity for SPEA by aligning the front facade with its neighbors as well as improving circulation into and through the building. The exterior detailing aligns with SPEA’s forward thinking goals and mission.
SPEA’s unique multidisciplinary learning environment offers students state-of-the-art classrooms sized for master’s student core classes and equipped with leading-edge technology, and graduate-only study areas and information commons to foster networks and fellowship.
